NJ ASK Testing – May 13 ^th – 17 ^th

NJASK testing begins on Monday, May 13, 2013 and continues for the entire week, with make-ups ending on Friday, May 24, 2012.  ALL 3 ^rd and 4 ^th grade students must arrive to school on time in order to be relaxed and ready to begin this test.  We will be having students “wake up and exercise their brains” in the gym each morning from 7:45 AM – 8:05 AM.

Also, it is important that your child is well rested and has had a nutritious breakfast!  If your child arrives to school after testing has started, he/she will need to remain in the office until testing is done and then take the make-up test for that section, on one of the make-up days.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND CELL PHONES TO SCHOOL DURING TESTING WEEK, IF YOUR CHILD COMES TO SCHOOL WITH A CELL PHONE, THE TEACHER WILL COLLECT IT, PUT HIS/HER NAME ON IT AND WILL SEND IT TO THE OFFICE UNTIL TESTING IS DONE.  THIS IS A RULE FROM THE NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION!!!

Students in third and fourth grade should have brought home a letter about this testing as well as a Parent, Student and Teacher Information guide which explains the types of questions on the tests and includes samples for you to complete with your child.
