    Through interactive read-alouds and shared reading, students will experience fabulous literature and learn about animal habitats, weather bees and much more!  After reading, students will engage in science activities, solve puzzles, and have a “magically” fun time!

    Keep your math skills sharp this summer!  Students will participate in “game-like” learning while rotating through various math stations that require students to count, sort, graph, measure, problem-solve and more!

    Forging the future of fitness…during this one hour course, students will engage in a variety of fun exercises and activities that will strengthen their bodies and energize their souls!

    Incoming Third and Fourth Grade Girls    Lacrosse Clinic

    Fundamental skills and techniques of lacrosse will be taught while advancing the player’s understanding of game concepts.  Most importantly, the concept of teamwork and sportsmanship will be conveyed as students engage in play.  Girls “may” bring their own stick!    (Goggles required)

    Incoming Fourth & Fifth Graders  Crime at “Plimoth Plantation”  

    A crime has been committed!  Step back in time, and combine your love of history, drama, and justice with a mock trial set at Plimoth Plantation.  Learn about the people who came over on the Mayflower while actually playing the part of a lawyer, witness or defendant!

    Incoming Sixth, Seventh & Eighth Graders  CSI –The Case of the Lost Skull
    A mysterious animal skull has been left outside the school with money stuffed inside it, a shoe print beside it, and other potential trace evidence in the area.  This introductory forensic unit will show students how to use deductive reasoning & forensic science skills to address the question of who put it there.  Students will analyze fingerprint, blood, hair, fiber, imprint, and documentation evidence to crack the case.

    Incoming Fifth Graders  Summer Band

    Students who studied flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet or trombone in fourth grade will develop skills in music literacy, instrument technique and composition.  Volunteers from RBR’s Visual & Performing Arts Program will help mentor the younger students.  The week will conclude with a concert in the Markham Place courtyard.

    Incoming Sixth, Seventh & Eighth Graders   Fine Arts Camp

    Students who want to further their art skills will engage in various media including drawing, painting, print making, and sculpture.  Students will learn to work with different materials while exploring topics in art history and world cultures.  At the end of the session, students will have a number of finished art projects to take home.
