The school counselor supports the academic success of all students by the development and management of a comprehensive school counseling program that is preventative in design and developmental in nature.


Ability to interact effectively with elementary students

Excellent interpersonal skills; possesses the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, parents and community

Excellent organizational skills; ability to analyze student data to provide appropriate services

Ability to collaborate and cooperate with classroom teachers and parents/guardians to provide support to students

Ability to implement data-driven action plans that align with school and counseling program goals.

Accounts Payable/Transportation Coordinator

 This will be a twelve-month position with duties as assigned by the School Business Administrator. Salary will be based on experience.

The Accounts Payable/Transportation Coordinator is responsible for supervisory, technical and advisory work involving district purchasing procedures and transportation. He/she sets work methods and communicates with suppliers, district employees and occasionally, with county and state agencies.


  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a school setting
  • Working knowledge of Systems 3000
  • Knowledge of office technology including computers, printers, scanners and related software (word processing, database, spreadsheet)
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations and financial reconciliations
  • Knowledge of state laws and regulations pertaining to school purchasing procedures and school transportation
  • Ability to establish and maintain required purchasing records and financial records associated with purchasing
  • Ability to make appropriate decision in conformance with established policies and procedures


  • Oversees the purchasing process including purchase order approval, ensuring all paperwork is received so the business office stays in compliance with all state regulations.
  • Maintains channels of communication regarding purchasing and transportation, between suppliers, parents, employees, and administration.
  • Ability to plan, develop, implement and keep current an effective and efficient transportation program for the district.
  • Oversees the billing and collection of all tuition revenues in accordance with applicable statutes.
  • Oversees the monthly student activity reports and audits the records in accordance with applicable statutes.
  • Monitors central accounts against current Budget Summary Reports prior to the purchase of goods or services to ascertain available funds.
