Pre-School Information
We will be offering two classes for typically developing 3 and 4 year old children which also include special education students. Students must turn either 3 or 4 by October 1, 2023. This is a tuition based program at $4200 and students are selected via lottery. The fee schedule and tuition will be posted on or about February 23rd .
The 3-Year-Old AM Class will meet 5 mornings per week
2.5 hours per day
8:55 AM – 11:25 AM
The 4-Year-Old PM Class will meet 5 afternoons per week
2.5 hours per day
12:25 PM – 2:55 PM
Registration for the preschool program is held once a year during the first week of March. Please check back in February for more information.
The lottery will be drawn on or about March 17, 2023.

Kindergarten Information
Children admitted to Kindergarten must be five years of age by October 1st of the year they enter Kindergarten. Pupils who do not meet the aforementioned age requirement will not be permitted to transfer into our program from a private nursery school or private Kindergarten as per Policy 5112.

Parents registering a child from another school district are required to bring:
- An original birth certificate or passport for proof of age MUST BE PRESENTED AT REGISTRATION. Board of Education Policy 5112 requires that a child must be 5 years of age on or before October 1st of the year a child enters kindergarten.
- Show 2 Proofs of Residency (acceptable proof: utility bill/receipt, tax bill/receipt, recent receipt, or contract of sale/rent).
- Complete a Registration form and a Release of Records form (available in school office and online after Frebruary 1st)
- Submit Immunization Record
- Submit the New Student Physical form (available in school office and online after February 1, 2023) The new student physical examination must be given within 365 days of entering school to be acceptable. The exam must state what, if any, modifications are required for full participation in the school program. The form including updated immunizations must be completed and signed by your child’s physician and returned to Point Road School .

Follow the steps below to register new students for the 2022-2023 or 2023-2024 school year.
STEP ONE:

Please complete the registration form online using the following website: https://genesis.c1.genesisedu.net/littlesilver/openReg
- After you complete all of the screens online, you will be prompted to print your registration form.
STEP TWO: Please call the main office of the appropriate school to make an appointment when you have the following documents ready.

- Your printed registration form from your online registration.
- An original birth certificate or passport for proof of age; this MUST BE PRESENTED AT REGISTRATION. (We have to be able to feel the raised seal.) Board of Education Policy 5112 requires that a child must be 5 years of age on or before October 1st of the year a child enters kindergarten.
- Two (2) proofs of residency such as utility bill/receipt, tax bill/receipt, recent receipt or contract of sale/rent. If you are renting, you MUST produce a new rental contract yearly.
- An immunization record for each child that you are registering. (Copies will be made and originals returned to you at time of registration.)
- New Student Information Form.

CHILD FIND INFORMATION
Any district parent, including homeless or migrant workers, who have concerns about the physical (including gross motor, fine motor and sensory), cognitive, communication, social/emotional, and adaptive development of their child should contact the Director of Special Services at Markham Place School 95 Markham Place, Little Silver, NJ 07739, 732-741-7112, Ext. 3052.

SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN FROM 6-21 NOT CURRENTLY RECEIVING SCHOOL SERVICES
As of September, 2009, preschool age children qualifying for free or reduced lunch programs may be eligible for public preschool. Please contact the Special Services Office, 732-741-7112, Ext. 3002, for free or reduced lunch applications.
