Our Vision for Student Learning

Every child can achieve the goals he or she wishes to achieve. Necessary for the attainment of these goals is a supportive and nurturing learning environment, curricula that compels critical thought and instruction that is individualized so that the needs of all learning styles are met with 21st century competencies.

Every child should develop a passion for learning. Children will grow socially and emotionally when they “see” the learning process as an exciting and energizing experience.

Curriculum Mapping

Atlas Curriculum Mapping is a procedure for collecting and maintaining a database of the operational curriculum in a school and/or district. It provides the basis for authentic examination of said database (Heidi Hayes Jacobs, 1997).  The completed curriculum map then becomes a tool that helps teachers keep track of what has been taught and plan what will be taught. Click the Rubicon Atlas logo to browse our unit calendars, curriculum maps and course descriptions.
