How We Decide to Close or Delay School
The district will determine whether to close schools, delay opening, or dismiss early based on weatehr and road conditions, staff availability, and guidance from local authorities. Decisions will be made with safety as the top priority.
What Happens When Schools are Closed or Delayed
Closure due to inclement weather: all classes and after-school programs (including extracurricular, childcare, and before/after-school care) are canceled for the day.
Delayed opening: school start times are adjusted - see below
Early dismissal: afternoon programs and activities are canceled; pick-up arrangements should be made accordingly
